Style Influence : Fly Girl Dia
"FlyGirl Dia proves Oberon is for everyone. Check out how she brings the sexy to Oberon and her thoughts on fashion in the latest issue of Oberon Asscher's Style Influence!"
Husani: What influences you’re style the most?
Dia: Believe it or not my emotions is what influences my style the most. If I wake up one morning feeling cozy comfy I’m immediately opting in for the streetwear, an oversized fly vibe. But on the other hand, if I wake another morning feeling feminine and sexy I’m looking into wearing something that oozes sexy appeal or insinuates my figure.
Husani: Do You work in fashion now right?
Dia: No I used to be a Celebrity Wardrobe Stylist but now I work in real estate full time. I still style projects here and there.
Husani: How do you feel about the current state of fashion?
Dia: Outside of luxury designer brands I feel like we’re losing recipes. I think people are losing their individuality or we stopped embracing it. Everything is now copy paste or following a certain trend versus doing your own thing. I don’t really care for the current state of fashion but shameless plug I’ll be releasing an ebook on how to identify your authentic style and what’s best for your body shape.
Husani: That’s dope. When do you think you will be releasing it? And any tips you want to share from the book before it’s released?
Dia: Thank you! I’ve been working on it for a little minute now. My plans are to release it this time next month. A major tip/gem I would drop is dressing for your body shape and aurora will and can significantly boost your self-esteem and more importantly your level of self awareness
Husani: I Can’t wait to read it! What inspired each outfit? Or why did you pick these items out of the collection? Talk about each outfit .
Dia: I appreciate you! And when it comes to fashion with me a lot of it really is based on feeling. I immediately gravitated to that shirt bc of its intricate pattern but I felt sexy was missing hence the heels and cleavage. If I had to describe my current style I would say chic streetwear, to me this outfit was the epitome of that.
Over the years hunter green/olive green has become one of my favorite colors. You releasing cozy sweats in that color was a no brainer for me. Of course being inspired by New York I wanted to pair the sweats with tims and a monochromatic look was the goal. I think my personality peers through both ensembles. I appreciate you for allowing me to be apart of this new release and I think it’s an honor to be the first female with a style article.
